Detector Oy is a leading provider of gas monitoring solutions in Finland, specialized in developing reliable gas monitoring solutions and ensuring personal safety. With high-quality and regularly serviced gas monitoring devices, a safe working environment is ensured for monitoring toxic, explosive, and oxygen-displacing gases. Leveraging its strong domestic position, Detector aims to expand its operations internationally. Smartbutlers was selected as a partner to strengthen international readiness.

Diverse Surveys as the Foundation for Export Strategy
The project began with market surveys and selection of target countries. We analyzed the competitive landscape, market potential, and industry regulations of the chosen countries, concluding that Detector's products would have good prospects in other Nordic countries. Next, we analyzed Go-To-Market methods to lay the groundwork for distribution channel and marketing strategy. Based on the surveys, the decision was made to proceed first in Sweden.
Towards Market Entry
The next step was to conceptualize the commencement of operational activities in Sweden. A suitable brand strategy was developed, necessary trademark surveys were conducted, potential company forms were explored, startup costs were determined, and the necessary milestones for establishing a sales office were defined.
